The Adriatic Coast is dotted with delights from beautiful islands to enchanting seaside villages, each with its individual character. Larger resorts, including Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia, have hidden depths which breathe extra life into the region.
The Ionian Sea – between Italy and Greece at the southern end of the Adriatic – is the setting for some delightful island idylls, the best-known of which is Corfu. Here you’ll find a verdant landscape, splendid coastal scenery and a wealth of historic sites.
The holiday starts with a Champagne check–in at St Pancras’ famous Champagne Bar and an escorted afternoon departure on Eurostar. We travel to Paris where we break our journey with an overnight stay at a hotel. The next morning we join the TGV to Marseilles (journey time around 3 hours), before a short transfer to the Orient Queen to start our 10–night cruise visiting: Sicily – Messina; Montenegro – Kotor; Croatia – Split & Dubrovnik; Corfu; Italy – Venice, Lipari & Civitavecchia.
During the cruise, enjoy great food and entertainment as part of a relaxed lifestyle where the scenery glides past with a new vista at every viewing. Feel free to venture ashore at the numerous ports of call, or choose from a range of optional shore excursions.
At the end of the cruise we disembark in Marseilles and stay overnight in a hotel before taking the TGV to Lille where we join Eurostar for the return to London St Pancras.
Note: Adverse weather or sea conditions may prevent the vessel calling at scheduled ports.
